SCARLETT JOHANSSON NAMED FORBES' HIGHEST-PAID ACTRESS OF THE YEAR WITH $56 MILLION EARNINGS
American actress Scarlett Johansson has once again topped the Forbes list of the highest-paid actresses of the year, earning $56 million within a year according to their rankings. The list was published on the Forbes website.
Last year, Johansson also led the rankings, earning $40.5 million from June 2017 to June 2018.
According to Forbes, this year most of her income was generated from her roles in Marvel Cinematic Universe films, including “Black Widow” and “Avengers: Endgame.”
The second place went to Sofia Vergara, star of “Modern Family,” with earnings of $44.1 million. Reese Witherspoon advanced two spots to claim the third position, earning $35 million.
Next in the rankings were Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Aniston. The rankings took into account actresses' earnings from June 2018 to June 2019.
As previously reported by Tert.am, American actor and producer Dwayne Johnson topped Forbes' list of the highest-paid actors of the year. The 47-year-old Johnson earned $89.4 million over the span of a year, moving from last year's second place to the first.
Following Johnson this year is Chris Hemsworth, who earned over $76.4 million, while Robert Downey Jr. secured the third position with earnings of $66 million.
