Fourth Day of Fire: Firefighters Retrieve Hundreds of Tons of Goods from ‘Snowman’ Refrigerator Company

On August 22, the firefighting operations continue at the ‘Snowman’ refrigerator company located on Arshakunyats Avenue in Yerevan, where a fire broke out on August 19 at 1:54 PM. This information was reported to NEWS.am by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Participating in the efforts are 12 firefighting teams from the Fire and Rescue Department of the Yerevan Rescue Service, 5 fire ladders, a special operations rescue team from the Ministry's Rescue Forces Administration, as well as operational teams from the National Center for Crisis Management and the regional rescue department, along with a shift team from the Center for Disaster Medicine.

Thanks to the selfless work of the firefighters, several hundred tons of various types and categories of goods and cargo have been successfully retrieved from the fire's hotspots. The progress of the firefighting operations is being reported periodically to the Minister of Emergency Situations, F. Tsolakyan.

Further information will be provided. It is worth noting that the fire broke out on August 19 at 1:54 PM on the 3rd to 5th floors (each floor measuring 740 square meters) of the refrigeration building located at 9/2 Arshakunyats Avenue in Yerevan.
