Fire Continues at Refrigerators Warehouse for Three Days

The fire extinguishing operations have been ongoing at the "Syunik Refrigerator" LLC, located on Arshakunyats Avenue in Yerevan, which erupted on August 19 at 13:54, according to Armenia's Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).

Two firefighting units and one fire truck from the Yerevan Rescue Department were dispatched to the site. Based on the needs, two additional firefighting units, a duty physician from the Disaster Medicine Center, and an emergency response team from the National Center for Crisis Management were sent to the scene, followed by another firefighting unit.

It was reported that a fire broke out on the 3rd to 5th floors of the refrigeration building belonging to the "Syunik Refrigerator" LLC at 9/2 Arshakunyats Avenue, with each floor covering an area of 740 square meters.

In the firefighting efforts, a total of 11 firefighting units from the Yerevan Rescue Department, an operational group from the regional rescue department, and special rescue teams were involved, utilizing 5 aerial fire trucks. The progress of the firefighting operations is being regularly reported to MES Minister F. Tsolakyan.
