VIDEO: Man Injured with Sickle in Inter-Village Dispute
On August 20, around 1:30 AM, the Novembari police department received a report from a hospital concerning a 48-year-old resident of Shnog village who sought medical assistance for "penetrating abdominal wounds, cuts on the chest, and left forearm wounds." The report was subsequently transferred to the Tumanyan police department according to territorial jurisdiction.
Through joint measures with Novembari police, Tumanyan police officers established that on the evening of August 19, during a heated argument over domestic issues, the injured man was attacked with a sickle by a 35-year-old fellow villager in the outskirts of Shnog village.
In the morning of August 20, the suspect was detained by Tumanyan police. Later that day, around 4:30 PM, the hospital reported another alarming update: doctors were unable to save the 48-year-old man as his injuries were incompatible with life.
The suspect has provided a confessional statement and detailed how and where the incident took place. Investigations are ongoing. A criminal case has been initiated, and the preliminary investigation is continuing.
