Massiv's Andik Killed by a 32-Year-Old Citizen of Grozny: Investigative Committee Reveals Details
The Investigative Committee of Armenia has disclosed details regarding the murder of Andranik Harutyunyan, born in 1973, which was unveiled following necessary investigative actions in the Serious Crimes Investigation Division of the Committee.
On July 2, 2019, at 23:10, a report was received by the Nor-Nork Division of the Police that the body of Andranik Harutyunyan, who had sustained a gunshot wound, had been brought to the St. Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center.
A criminal case was initiated based on Articles 104, Part 1 and 235, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
Due to urgent investigative, procedural, and operational-search measures carried out by the investigators of the Serious Crimes Investigation Division and law enforcement officers, it was established that Harutyunyan suffered a fatal gunshot wound inflicted by a 32-year-old resident of Grozny, Russia.
The suspect arrived in Armenia on June 25, 2019, from Russia, and on July 3, 2019, around 23:00, he shot and killed Andranik Harutyunyan using a firearms obtained illegally, specifically a pistol, in the courtyard of one of the buildings in the 5th district of Nor-Nork, Yerevan.
During the pre-investigation phase, it was determined that a 50-year-old man from Yerevan assisted in organizing Harutyunyan's murder. This individual has been arrested on suspicion of committing acts outlined in Clause 8 of Part 2 of Article 38-104 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
The 32-year-old resident of Grozny has been charged within the framework of this criminal case under Clause 6 of Part 2 of Article 104 and Part 1 of Article 235 of the Criminal Code. The investigation is ongoing.
