OSCE to Conduct Observation in the Omari Pass along the Contact Line
On August 21, in accordance with an agreement reached with the authorities of the Republic of Artsakh, the OSCE mission will conduct a planned observation of the ceasefire regime along the contact line between the armed forces of Artsakh and Azerbaijan at the Omari Pass.
This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh.
The observation will be carried out from the positions of the Artsakh Defense Army by the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office's Personal Representative Ambassador Andrei Kasprzyk, along with field assistants Gennadiy Petrika (Moldova) and Personal Assistant Simon Tiller (United Kingdom).
From the opposite side of the contact line, the observation will be conducted by the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office's field assistant Mihail Olaru (Moldova) and OSCE office staff member Martin Schuster (Germany).
The authorities of the Republic of Artsakh have expressed their readiness to assist in conducting the observation and to ensure the safety of members of the OSCE mission.
