NSS Responds to Facebook User's Post
The National Security Service (NSS) has responded to a post made by a Facebook user. On August 22 of this year, a Facebook user by the name of Haik Grigoryan, who identifies himself as the spokesperson for the "National Progress" party, wrote on his page: "On August 20, I received a call from an employee of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) who said that the NSS and Investigative Committee of Armenia have sent a letter to question me and requested a meeting..."
We will not continue quoting the entire text he posted on his page (those interested can find and read it). Officially, we declare that the NSS of Armenia has not sent any correspondence to the FBI regarding Haik Grigoryan and has not reached out on such matters. While Haik Grigoryan, being in the United States, may meet or not meet with anyone, this does not give him the right to spread false information regarding the activities of the NSS. Furthermore, the NSS not only denies but also condemns the dissemination of unfounded news related to the NSS's activities, and in this case, unrelated as well,” the NSS informs.
