‘Haykakan Jamanak’: Investigating Unacceptable Treatment of Armenian Soldier Captured by Azerbaijan
‘Haykakan Jamanak’ reports: ‘Despite the Investigative Committee stating that there are no detainees or arrests in the case of cross-border violator Arayik Ghazaryan, as investigations carried out under Part 2 of Article 362 and Part 1 of Article 359 of the RA Criminal Code have revealed, at 10:30 on 12.08.2019, prior to A. Ghazaryan leaving his combat position, he did not sustain bodily injuries to the head, lower limbs, or any other parts of the body.’ However, our sources affirm otherwise. We were informed that eight officers from the military unit where Ghazaryan served have been taken to the military police, and an investigation is underway.
