Amulsar Mine Is Not to Our Liking: Resident of Jermuk
Amulsar has long ceased to be just a mountain; it is a political, environmental, and social issue that demands a solution today, not later. This was stated by a participant of a rally in Jermuk, who identified as a local resident.
He mentioned that "a snowball has detached from Amulsar, which is progressively growing larger," referring to the people's outrage.
The citizen asserted that Amulsar should not become a mine because Jermuk has chosen its lifestyle, which includes diverse tourism, spa treatments with mineral waters, and bottling of mineral water.
"The mine is not to our liking; the miners are trying to put a four-legged shirt on Amulsar. We will not wear such a shirt; we are a proud and honest people, and we are fighting for our rights and our health," he emphasized.
