Billionaire Aims to Invite Mkhitaryan to Sochi FC

Boris Rotenberg, the owner of Sochi FC, has admitted that he has considered bringing in Armenia national team and Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Rotenberg made the announcement during a broadcast on "Match Premier."

Mkhitaryan recently shared a video about Armenia and invited his homeland. "There was such an idea, and I'm still thinking about it. However, I haven't taken any steps regarding this topic or established contact with anyone. Only time will tell if this is possible or not," said Rotenberg.

Additionally, he noted that the team is forming based on the principle of primarily inviting Russian players so they can subsequently play for the national team.

It is worth mentioning that Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the captain of the Armenian national football team, has been with Arsenal since the beginning of 2018. The 30-year-old Armenian player has previously played for Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, Shakhtar Donetsk, Metalurh, and Yerevan's Pyunik.

Mkhitaryan's contract with Arsenal is valid until June 30, 2021. The Gunners have changed their colors: Henrikh Mkhitaryan has showcased Arsenal's new kit.

In the last season, Mkhitaryan made a total of 39 appearances across all competitions for his club, scoring 6 goals and providing 7 assists.
