The Best Female Sniper is from Armenia: 'Warrior of Peace' Competition
The 'Warrior of Peace' competition, held at the high-altitude training ground in Tavush Province under the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, featured a 'Sniper' contest where male and female servicemen fired with AK-74 rifles.
Each participant had to hit three targets with five bullets from three different positions (lying, kneeling, and standing) within three minutes at a distance of 100 meters. According to the press service of the Southern Military District of Russia, the female competition was won by a representative from Armenia, while the male competition was won by a representative from Russia.
The names of the winners and prizewinners of the 'Warrior of Peace' international military games will be announced during the official closing of the competition.
Representatives from the armed forces of Armenia, Belarus, Iran, Greece, Kazakhstan, and Russia are participating in the competition, which is taking place from August 3 to 14 in Yerevan, Dilijan, and Ijevan. Participants are testing their skills in various military-related events including 'Professional' (orientation in terrain, complex combat preparation exercises, organization of first aid), military-sports ‘Athlete’, shooting practice ‘Sniper,’ literary-artistic and dance-music ‘Mr. and Ms.,’ and military history knowledge contest ‘Erudite.’
