Court Imposes Ban on TV Channel and Company Owned by Former Kyrgyz President Atambayev
The court has decided to impose a ban on the 'April' TV channel and 'Media Forum' company owned by former Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev, reports RBC.
It was previously reported that law enforcement authorities have sealed the building of 'Media Forum' located in Bishkek. Atambayev's TV channel is also situated in that building.
It is noted that the employees of the TV channel were given 10 minutes to pack their belongings, and currently, no one knows the whereabouts of the channel's director, Dmitry Lozhnikov.
It is important to recall that Atambayev voluntarily surrendered to the authorities two days ago and is now in investigative detention. He will remain in custody until August 26.
