On August 8, at 11:30 AM, the police received a report that a 9-year-old girl from the village of Kourtan was hospitalized with an injury around her right knee joint.

This information was confirmed in a conversation with SHANTNEWS.am by the police. On the same day, a resident voluntarily presented himself to the police and confessed that he had fired a single shot from a hunting rifle at a dog and unintentionally hit the leg of a child living nearby.

The firearm has been confiscated, and the details of the incident are under investigation.
