Explosions Occur in Turkish City at Weapons Depot
Explosions have occurred at a weapons depot in the Turkish city of Reyhanlı, located near the Syrian border, reports Turkish NTV television. Preliminary information indicates that there are no casualties or injuries.
Residents of nearby buildings have been evacuated. The cause of the explosions is still unknown.
Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that Ankara would begin a military operation against the Syrian Kurdish self-defense units in the area east of the Euphrates River in northern Syria. It has been noted that the operation may commence after August 11.
