800 People and 68 Units of Equipment: Forest Fires in Krasnoyarsk
In just one day, the area affected by forest fires in the Krasnoyarsk region has increased by nearly 50,000 hectares. This information was reported by the Russian news agency RIA Novosti.
According to local sources, as of today, there are 118 active forest fire sites in the Krasnoyarsk area, covering a total area of approximately 960,000 hectares. There are 79 sites under control, which account for 940,000 hectares.
It has also been reported that residential areas are situated in a safe zone.
Approximately 800 people and 68 units of equipment are involved in firefighting efforts.
