60 Firefighting Units Deployed: 54 Fires Combatting Blazes in Grasslands by the Ministry of Emergency Situations

On August 8, the Crisis Management National Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received 35 reports regarding fires affecting more than 200 square meters in various grassland areas across the republic. In particular:

• Yerevan, Erebuni administrative district: 10 hectares of vegetation, 1000 sq. m., 2000 sq. m., 700 sq. m.
• Shengavit administrative district: 700 sq. m.
• Nor Nork administrative district: 300 sq. m.
• Aragatsotn Province, Ashtarak city: 2500 sq. m., 800 sq. m.
• 1500 sq. m. along the Ashtarak-Aparan highway.
• Ararat Province, Mrgavet village: approximately 2000 sq. m.
• Ghukasyan village: approximately 200 sq. m. and 300 sq. m. of reeds.
• Armavir Province, Echmiadzin city: about 1000 sq. m. and 10 trees.
• Mirzavan village: 10 hectares.
• 4000 sq. m. along the Echmiadzin-Shahumyan highway.
• Gegharkunik Province, Sevan city: 1 hectare.
• Lori Province, Alaverdi city: about 1500 sq. m.
• Kotayk Province, Abovyan city: 500 sq. m.
• Charentsavan city: 300 sq. m., 800 sq. m. of vegetation.
• Arzni village: 1 hectare.
• Zar village: 20 hectares.
• Arinj village: about 5 hectares.
• P'tghni village: approximately 3000 sq. m. and 15 trees.
• Shirak Province, Akhuryan village: 200 sq. m.
• 1 hectare along the Artik-Harich highway.
• Sunik Province, Khndzoresk village: 7000 sq. m.
• Geghanush village: 3 hectares of vegetation.
• Tavush Province, Ijevan city: 1700 sq. m., 1300 sq. m.
• Koghb village: 500 sq. m.
• Sarigyugh village: 3.5 hectares.
• Artsvaberd village: 7 hectares, 14 hectares.
• Paravakar village: 2500 sq. m.
• 600 sq. m. along the Yerevan-Meghri highway.

Firefighters have isolated and extinguished the blazes.
