Quality of Food Supplies Replaced at Gavar Orphanage, Director States
Today, according to a record compiled by the "Gavar Orphanage" State Non-Commercial Organization (SNCO), food that meets the technical requirements of the contract signed with "Photon" LLC has been received, stated Nikolay Nalbandyan, the director of the Gavar Orphanage operating under the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
“We continuously monitor the quality characteristics of the food and other products supplied to our institution and record even minor shortcomings. Once again, we noticed and documented the shortcomings at the time of delivery and refused to accept the batch of supplied goods,” said Nikolay Nalbandyan.
The director of the SNCO reported that on the same day, 50-liter juice boxes supplied by "Cycloid" LLC lacked the appropriate labeling regarding the presence of at least 40% fresh fruit and berry content in the juice. This batch was also rejected by the orphanage and replaced with products that comply with the technical specifications.
It should be noted that on July 23, the food acceptance committee of the Gavar Orphanage discovered during the external examination of the supplied food that 10 kg of peppers and 50 kg of apples had not been delivered at all, while the supplied meat did not meet the technical requirements of the contract signed between the SNCO and "Photon" LLC.
The management of the orphanage refused to accept the latest batch of supplied products and created a relevant record on-site, also notifying the State Food Safety Service, requesting a corresponding professional conclusion. On that same day, a sample was sent for laboratory examination. The relevant department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs was informed accordingly.
Additionally, the SNCO management demanded the completion of the undelivered food batches, as well as the replacement of the questionable meat products. The supplying company rectified the identified shortcomings within three days.
