Armenian Citizens Still in Egypt: Consul
Approximately 100 travelers are still stranded in Egypt due to a canceled flight. This was stated by Rafael Movsesyan, the Armenian consul in Cairo, to Sputnik Armenia.
"As of now, citizens are still in Egypt, and the embassy is in constant contact with both the citizens and the airline. We hope to release new information shortly. Most likely, the flight will take place today by the evening," he said.
As previously reported, around 100 Armenian citizens who traveled to Egypt are unable to return home due to the postponement of the Hurghada–Yerevan OTF 370 flight. The A&R Tour company sold tickets and tours to Egypt (Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada) but subsequently canceled all flights.
Since yesterday morning, relatives of the Armenian tourists stranded in Hurghada, who are clients of the A&R Tour company, have gathered near the company’s office. They were joined by representatives from other travel agencies that had booked packages through A&R Tour. They demanded explanations for the delay of the flight that has left over 120 citizens of Armenia unable to return home.
