Return of About 100 Armenian Citizens Stuck in Hurghada to Be Organized, Tour Operator Director Says

Approximately 100 Armenian citizens currently in Hurghada are being assisted in their return to Armenia, with the involvement of the National Security Service (NSS). This was announced by Arsen Mkrtchyan, a lawyer for Ani Aleksanyan, the director of the tour company 'Aye End Ar,' during a press conference. He stated that he could not disclose further details.

In a subsequent conversation with journalists, Ani Aleksanyan confirmed that she had discussions at the National Security Service regarding the situation. She mentioned that all citizens' funds will be refunded shortly.

Regarding the citizens stranded in Hurghada, she stated that efforts are underway to expedite their return to Armenia. As previously reported, the Armenian Embassy in Egypt notified that approximately 100 Armenian citizens remain in Hurghada due to the cancellation of flight OTF 3703 from Hurghada to Yerevan on July 25. Following the flight cancellation, relatives of the stranded citizens staged a protest at the tour company's office.
