Azerbaijan Has Not Withdrawn OSCE Mission from Its Forward Positions

According to the agreement reached with the authorities of the Republic of Artsakh, the OSCE mission conducted a planned observation of the ceasefire regime on July 25 along the contact line of the armed forces of Artsakh and Azerbaijan, in the area south of the village of Gyulistan in the Shahumyan region.

As reported by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh, the observation was carried out from the positions of the Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh by the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, along with his field assistants, Gennady Petrika (Moldova) and Mikhail Olaru (Moldova).

“On the opposite side of the contact line, the observation was conducted by OSCE Chairperson-in-Office's field assistant Ognjen Jovic (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and personal assistant Simon Tiller (United Kingdom). The observation mission was carried out according to the scheduled timeline, but the Azerbaijani side has not withdrawn the OSCE mission from its forward positions. Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Artsakh accompanied the observation mission,” the statement mentioned.
