Armenia Ranks 64th, Georgia 48th: Latest Global Innovation Index Released
According to the Global Innovation Index 2019, Armenia ranks 64th. The index was compiled by the World Intellectual Property Organization, as reported by apsny.ge. In total, the index evaluates the innovative activities of around 130 countries.
“The ranking does not fully reflect the situation. When considering the income levels of the population, Armenia, Georgia, and Moldova have exceeded all expectations set by experts,” the authors note.
Countries in the South Caucasus have the following rankings: Georgia is 48th, Armenia is 64th, and Azerbaijan is 84th. Russia is positioned 46th, while Turkey ranks 41st.
Switzerland tops the index. The top ten also includes Sweden, the USA, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Finland, Denmark, Singapore, Germany, and Israel.
