After Becoming Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Johnson Receives First Directives
The outgoing British Prime Minister Theresa May has congratulated future Prime Minister Boris Johnson on his election victory and his upcoming assumption of office. She shared this on Facebook.
As noted, May congratulated Johnson and suggested working together on Brexit. She also requested his help in preventing the leader of the British opposition, Jeremy Corbyn, from working within the government.
"We need to work together... and keep Corbyn away from power," May wrote, emphasizing that Johnson would receive her full support after taking office.
