Large Congestions at Bagratashen Customs Point: Mikayel Melkumyan
There have been significant congestions at the Bagratashen customs point for several days now, driven by a sharp increase in the number of vehicles being imported by auto importers, reported the office of Mikayel Melkumyan, chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration.
According to the source, as of July 23, 2018, the number of vehicles had already surpassed 62,000, influenced by an increase in tourist arrivals and the volume of goods imported from Turkey by our compatriots.
At the same time, Melkumyan notes that the congestions are also a result of the customs point's reduced technical capacity, and the relevant authorities need to timely anticipate and respond to these issues.
Melkumyan mentioned that this situation will also be discussed in the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration.
