Man Arrested for Sexual Offenses Against 10-Year-Old Girl in Yerevan

On July 20, as a result of operational-investigative measures taken by the Criminal Investigation and Minors Affairs Divisions of the Mashtots Police Department, information was disclosed regarding a 45-year-old resident of the Ajapnyak administrative district, identified as M.H., who reported to the police that a sexual offense had been committed against a 10-year-old girl.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, following explanatory work by police, a 34-year-old resident of the Ajapnyak administrative district, identified as E.A., voluntarily presented himself to the Mashtots Police today, where he was arrested. The photojournalist's sources indicate that he lured the child to his home and there, in a room, performed immoral and sexual acts.
