Major Car Accident on the Dzoraget-Odzun Road: 5 Tons of Diesel Fuel Spilled

On July 20, at 12:25 PM, the 911 service received a report of a traffic accident on the Dzoraget-Odzun highway, where a truck had overturned, resulting in a fuel spill. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Two fire-rescue teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' rescue department were dispatched to the scene, one of which returned due to the situation being resolved.

It was found that a "GAZ-53" truck, transporting 5 tons of diesel fuel, had overturned at the 24th kilometer of the Alaverdi-Vanadzor section of the M-6 highway, causing the diesel fuel to completely spill onto the roadway.

The truck driver, Y.T. (born in 1960), and the passenger, S.M. (also born in 1960), were hospitalized at the Alaverdi Medical Center, where doctors assessed their health condition as satisfactory.
