Hovik Abrahamyan Loses $9.5 Million
The newspaper "Zhamanak" reports that Armenia's law enforcement has uncovered that former National Assembly Speaker and Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan made a private trip to Monaco during his time in office. He spent $9.5 million at a casino, which he charged to his personal card.
According to some sources, following the Velvet Revolution, Abrahamyan was forced to sell some of his assets to pay off urgent debts.
