«Joxovurd». «I Have Incomplete Work». Why David Sanasaryan Is Not Submitting His Resignation
«Joxovurd» newspaper writes that since April 18, 2019, the powers of the head of the State Supervision Service, David Sanasaryan, have remained suspended. Sanasaryan himself has not submitted a resignation, leaving the issue unresolved.
Is it possible that the reason for this is that by not submitting his resignation, Sanasaryan is preventing anyone else from being appointed as the head of the Service?
In response to the question from the «Joxovurd» newspaper, David Sanasaryan stated, «I am not resigning because I have incomplete work. My promise to eradicate corruption remains valid, and I can fulfill it in other capacities as well, but being the head of the Service would allow it to happen faster, as the legislator has granted extensive powers both for combating corruption and for improving the legality and effectiveness of state bodies.»
