VIDEO: The corrupt official's seizing of power is worn out, says Pashinyan
When I first had a political public speech, I proposed a formula to the citizens of Armenia that each of us should say that the future of Armenia depends on one person, and that one person is me. This was stated today, July 13, during a visit to the SMART center of the Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) in Lori Province by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“I have also adopted this. It is not a text or a toast that you say, drink and go home. It is a responsibility, and from that moment on, whenever I take any step, I have processed very quickly, with computer skills, how that step corresponds to the formula I proposed,” he said, adding that none of us is perfect or flawless.
“We talk a lot about the law, that it should be strict, but it is very important to have the internal laws that we possess. If our law is such that it restricts and regulates all of us, it won’t yield results. What is far more important is how much each of us restricts ourselves as a journalist, as an editor, as a political prisoner, as a deputy, as a prime minister and a minister. If we do not have internal brakes... how do we differ from a corrupt official to a non-corrupt one? Simply put: a non-corrupt official has very strong internal brakes, and those are values. But the corrupt official's ability to seize power is worn out,” emphasized the Prime Minister.
