Driver Injured by Trolleybus Collector in Yerevan Undergoes Surgery

An extraordinary incident occurred today in Yerevan. A trolleybus' current collector detached and fell onto a Toyota vehicle passing by. The driver of the car sustained a bodily injury to the shoulder and was initially transferred to St. Grigor Lusavorich hospital and later to the Izmirlian Medical Center. He has undergone surgery.

In an interview with SHANTNEWS.am, the trolleybus driver Norayr Sazmandyan recounted how the vehicle following the trolleybus became the target, highlighting the severity of the situation as the Toyota driver was alone in the car and the trolleybus is not operational.

Shortly after, a team from the electric transport division arrived at the scene and removed the trolleybus.
