Teacher Salaries Will Increase in September, Pensions in January: Prime Minister
During a government meeting on June 11, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that on July 10, the cabinet approved a medium-term expenditure program for the years 2020-2022 in a closed session.
The Prime Minister informed that a decision has been made to increase pensions by 10% starting from January 1, 2020, and that teacher salaries will also increase from September of this year.
Pashinyan further stated that the government has decided to allocate 3 billion drams to provide housing for those citizens who lost their homes due to the 1988 Spitak earthquake, to whom the state has a de jure obligation.
