I Would Not Impose Sanctions: Putin on Relations with Georgia

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that he is against the imposition of sanctions on Georgia, emphasizing his respect for the Georgian people. This was reported by “RIA Novosti.”

“I would not do that (impose sanctions) out of respect for the Georgian people. Someone has declared something, trying to present themselves in a certain light,” said the president.

Putin also commented on the idea of initiating a criminal case against a Georgian journalist who insulted him: “It is a great honor to initiate criminal cases. Let him go,” remarked the Russian leader.
