I Am Managing Very Well Now, Says Masis Mayor

On July 9, at the Shengavit court of general jurisdiction in Yerevan, a hearing scheduled for the case involving the Mayor of Masis and others was postponed by Judge Robert Papoyan before it even began.

Masis Mayor Davit Hambardzumyan reiterated in an interview with reporters that he does not accept the charges against him. “Let time come, the trial will conclude, and you will all know what happened. At that time, I promise to hold a press conference and answer all questions,” he stated.

When asked by a journalist if he was offended by the authorities, he responded, “Of course not, I never hold grudges against anyone. I think it is the trait of a weak person to be offended.”

Regarding the observation about the difficulty of managing a city in the status of an accused, Davit Hambardzumyan replied, “It’s very good; on the contrary, I am managing very well now. You can ask the people of Masis; I interact with them, and they will testify to that.”
