VIDEO: False Information Being Spread About Me, Hayk Sargsyan
MP Hayk Sargsyan has reported that a media and social media campaign has been launched against him for a considerable time. He stated, "The initiators and their media outlets are spreading false and misleading information about me with the aim of tarnishing my honor and dignity, as well as obstructing my parliamentary activities. To stop this campaign, I have approached the court in six cases, and all my applications have been accepted for proceedings."
Hayk Sargsyan's lawyer, Tigran Hayrapetyan, mentioned in an interview with ArmDaily.am, "Not only have we asked for compensation for defamation and insult, we have also requested that a criminal case be opened and that the activities of certain media outlets be halted within the framework of that criminal case."
Discussing the criminal case, the lawyer noted, "We have filed with the Special Investigative Service; materials are currently being prepared, and it is still unclear if a criminal case will be initiated or not. Essentially, an investigation needs to be conducted; we did not specify the names of the media outlets when submitting the report. This is a matter of national security; there is indeed a national security issue here."
It is worth recalling that recently, media outlets circulated news alleging that Hayk Sargsyan spent time at 'La Scala' in the company of well-known beautiful women from Instagram. A different video was also shared yesterday, showing one of the women accompanying Hayk Sargsyan demonstrating how they were touring and taking selfies at the presidential residence. According to publications, Hayk Sargsyan allegedly took them on an excursion to the residence of the President of Armenia.
Yesterday, the MP announced on his Facebook page that he has approached the court to halt the ongoing campaign against him in six cases, and all applications have been accepted for proceedings.
