Witness to Tragic Accident: 'People Were Burning Before My Eyes, We Couldn't Approach'

It has already been reported that on July 6 at 15:15, the '911' service received information about a road accident at the Zodi Bridge in the Ararat region, where three vehicles collided. According to preliminary reports, there are 6 fatalities and 11 injuries.

Arthur Nazaretian, a witness to the tragic accident, shared details with reporters. He notes that the flames were so large that rescuers struggled to approach the vehicles from 5-6 meters away, making it difficult to save lives. He witnessed all six victims, and all three vehicles caught fire.

“We could not approach to help. People were burning before my eyes. Personally, I really wanted to get closer to help the girl hanging out of the window, but it was impossible; the flames were terrifying, the fire was very intense. I saw that the driver had died, lying on his side, probably having tried to escape through the side door,” said the eyewitness.
