4 Gunshot Wounds: Details of Andik's Murder in Masiv

The Investigation Committee of Armenia is conducting an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the murder of a man born in 1973. This information has been provided by the Investigation Committee of Armenia.

According to preliminary data, on July 2, 2019, at 23:10, the Police Department of Nor Nork received a report from the "Saint Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center" that a body with gunshot wounds had been brought in. The deceased was identified as Andranik H., born in 1973.

A criminal case has been initiated under the first part of Article 104 and the first part of Article 235 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. Following urgent investigative and operational-search measures, it was established that the man had sustained gunshot wounds in the yard of one of the buildings in the 5th district of Nor Nork.

An investigative group has been formed, and an investigative plan has been developed. The crime scene was examined, during which cartridges, one bullet, blood-like traces, and other samples were collected. A sports bag and a plastic bottle were found at the scene, and the presence of surveillance cameras was noted.

Items of clothing worn by the victim at the time of the incident were seized, which showed signs of blood-like traces. An examination of the body revealed that there were four gunshot wounds: one located on the left lower cheekbone, two on the upper posterior surface of the left forearm and the lower exterior surface, and the fourth in the abdominal region.

To clarify significant circumstances of the case, forensic medical, ballistic, and trace examinations have been appointed, and several witnesses have been interrogated. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Urgent investigative actions and operational-search measures are being undertaken to clarify all circumstances of the murder and to identify the person(s) committing the apparent crime, as well as to provide a legal assessment of their actions.
