Thirteen-Year-Old Boy Transferred to St. Astvatsamayr Medical Center After Horrific Accident
In the Ararat region, a tragic accident occurred today, July 6, on the Yerevan-Erasakh road, at the bridge near Zod. The victim transferred to St. Astvatsamayr Medical Center is a 13-year-old boy from the Ararat region, as reported by Anna Chobanyan, head of the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital.
“His injuries are not life-threatening, and he is not in danger,” she stated.
Furthermore, the hospital spokesman, Gevorg Derdzyan, added that the child has a broken arm, lacerations and puncture wounds on his legs, and abrasions on his chin. “The boy is conscious, and his condition is assessed as moderate,” he noted.
Earlier, it was reported that a brutal and tragic car accident-fire occurred in the Ararat region around 3:20 PM at the well-known Zod bridge. Three vehicles were involved: a Toyota with the license plate 096 FF 96, a VAZ 2106 with the license plate 35 LQ 998, and a passenger Gazelle.
As a result of the collision, a fire broke out in the Gazelle, reducing it to a pile of ash. Emergency services from the Ararat fire brigade arrived on the scene with one combat unit, and with the help of citizens, extinguished the fire in the Gazelle, where they found charred bodies.
According to the latest information, six individuals have died, and twelve others have been injured.
