Criminal Case Opened in Connection with Accident in Ararat Region

The head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, Naira Harutyunyan, has announced on her social media page that a criminal case has been opened by the Investigative Committee's regional office in Ararat regarding the accident that occurred in the Ararat region.

"As a result of the accident in the Ararat region, 10 individuals have been hospitalized. During the examination of the scene, 6 burnt bodies have been discovered. A criminal case has been opened by the Ararat regional investigative office of the Investigative Committee based on the features of Part 3 of Article 242 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. An investigation is underway. Additional information will be provided," she wrote.
