A Girl Sustained Burns Covering 50 Percent of Her Body, Says Ararat Hospital Doctor
Fifteen minutes after a tragic accident, eleven injured individuals were transported to the Ararat Medical Center, most of whom had sustained burns. Four of these patients were transferred to a burn unit. This information was shared with NEWS.am by Margarita Hovhannisyan, the on-duty physician at the Ararat Medical Center.
“One patient with a closed head injury was transferred to ‘Erebuni’ Medical Center, and one child was sent to ‘St. Astvatsamayr’ Medical Center. Currently, we have two patients remaining with us: one is Nkuryan Andranik, who has a lacerated wound on his right shin and abrasions on various parts of his body, and 10-year-old Nare Grigoryan, who also has abrasions across different parts of her body. Their condition is stable, and there are no serious injuries,” stated the doctor.
She added that there were patients with serious burns of second and third degrees, with large areas of their bodies burned. “They have been transferred to the Burn Center, and their condition at the time of transfer was critically stable. There was a girl who sustained burns covering 50 percent of her body, affecting her face, chest, back, upper limbs, and parts of her lower limbs,” she explained.
