7.1 Magnitude Earthquake in California

A 7.1 magnitude earthquake occurred in Southern California, as reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC). The tremors were felt at 7:19 AM Yerevan time. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 193 kilometers north of Los Angeles, with a depth of 10 kilometers.

Several buildings sustained minor damage, with cracks appearing in their foundations, and some support columns collapsed. There are also cracks reported on the roads. One person is reported to have been injured.

This marks the second earthquake in the region in recent days, following a 6.6 magnitude quake recorded on July 4th.
