This Disrespect from the Russian Airline Company Must Be Addressed: MP

Arman Babajanyan, a member of the "Enlightened Armenia" parliamentary faction, wrote on his Facebook page: "We arrived in Yerevan early this morning... Two negative developments to highlight...

1. The Moscow-Yerevan flight was operated by Aeroflot using an aircraft named after the Azerbaijani operatic and pop artist Muslim Magomayev. Can someone explain how this impunity is being regulated? The contemptuous attitude of this Russian airline must be addressed in some way.

2. The absurdity continues: Russian border guards continue to inspect the passports of Armenian citizens entering the territory of Armenia. Representatives of the Federal Security Service border troops of the Russian Federation are still operating at Zvartnots Airport. I believe that the new government of Armenia must bring this issue to the agenda of Armenian-Russian relations and make a decision regarding placing Zvartnots under the control of the Armenian border guards, regardless of the perception that ruling or opposition forces, striving for an increase in the level of sovereignty of their own country being considered anti-Russian, are being seen in the light of a neo-colonization project by Russia.
