Hraparak: "They Are Stressed" – What Prevents Governors from Working
Interesting details are emerging from the meeting with the governors who underwent "belief examination" within the "My Step" faction. The purpose of the meeting was to clarify why they are not working well and why the ratings of the authorities in the regions are declining. The main interrogator was Lilit Makunts.
Almost everyone was asked the same question: what is preventing you from working? The governors' response was generally the same: the community leaders are not able to work, they are somewhat "stressed out", and they do not comply.
The governor of Ararat, crocodile specialist Garik Sargsyan, complained the most, informing that they have a community leader who does not show up at the governor's office and no one seems to care. Aragatsotn governor Davit Gevorgyan also complained about law enforcement agencies. Kotayk governor Romanos Petrosyan's speech was particularly explosive: "In the region, I am hindered from working by Gagik Tsarukyan and Edo, the criminal-oligarchic elite. What does it mean that Edo is rising in the region – saying that we won’t give Abovyan city to those who provide work? After that, what is he doing in the National Assembly? He was merely a trader, left as a trader."
Petrosyan informed that he had sent a letter regarding this matter to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan. "The only governor who did not present any complaint or grumbles was Hunan Poghosyan. He said nothing hinders me from working. From the discussions, it became clear that a significant part of the deputies in our team are, if not hostile to the governors, then in deep ‘nepriyazni’ (tension) with them. For example, Arpi Davoyan harshly accused the governor of Vayots Dzor: 'You have integrated into the scheme of Ashot Arsenyan of Jermuk and spend your weekends at their Jermuk hotel,'" the newspaper writes.
