An Employee of the Prosecutor General's Office Assaulted in Yerevan
An extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 14:40, the Police Department of Mashtots received a call from a resident of one of the buildings in the Norashen neighborhood of Yerevan, who reported that her home had been attacked.
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, on July 4, officers from the Mashtots Police Department and the third battalion of the Police Patrol Service of Yerevan were dispatched to the specified address. They brought in 17-year-old E.H. from the same neighborhood on suspicion of involvement in a dispute.
According to G. Shamshyan's information, preliminary reports indicate that a conflict arose between V. Ts., the reporting citizen, and 47-year-old Arman Hakobyan, her husband, who resides at the same address. During this altercation, E.H. allegedly struck both V. Ts. and A. Hakobyan, inflicting injuries.
Once in police custody, E.H. reported that A. Hakobyan had previously struck him with his hands, causing him physical pain, and during the argument, one of A. Hakobyan's associates also hit him on the head, resulting in further physical pain.
In connection with the incident, the investigative division of the Mashtots Police Department is preparing materials, and a forensic examination has been ordered.
According to G. Shamshyan, A. Hakobyan works as the Deputy Head of the Department for the Supervision of the Legality of Pre-Trial Criminal Proceedings at the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia.
