‘Hayastani Hanrapetutyun’. 18 million drams for nothing: Revazyan prepares for another business trip
‘Hayastani Hanrapetutyun’ reports: ‘On July 10, Tatvik Revazyan, the head of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Republic of Armenia, will complete one year of her term, or more accurately, one year of business trips funded by the state budget. During this time, Revazyan has traveled to 13 cities in 11 countries, for which Armenian citizens have paid about 18 million drams, of which more than 12 million drams were for airline tickets and over 5.5 million drams for per diem and accommodation.
One of the most remarkable points about Revazyan's business trips is that she has not participated in any meetings of the EEU during her year in office. Instead, she managed to visit Brussels three times and France twice. According to our sources, she even successfully ‘responded’ to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's call to not leave the country during the New Year and enjoyed her earned vacation in Copenhagen. However, several other officials who did not heed the same call lost their jobs.
Nevertheless, without deviating from the topic, we should mention that another business trip is expected for Revazyan soon: from July 17-19, a meeting is scheduled with representatives of ‘Azimut Airlines’. It is interesting to see what results Revazyan will bring back from this business trip...
Purely as a fact, the recorded outcomes of Tatvik's previous business trips show that no new airlines have entered the market, no budget airlines have operated in the Armenian market during her discussions, ticket prices have not decreased, and no Armenian air transport company has been established, among other outcomes.
However, we also have another fact: a considerable amount from the state budget has been allocated in exchange for unfulfilled results, that is, for nothing. But perhaps one should be as optimistic as Revazyan and wait for the outcomes of her tours, which will materialize very soon—15 years from now. And maybe Edmon Marukyan was right, who noted the only advantage of the head of the Civil Aviation Committee was her nice appearance...
