Chain Reaction Car Accident in Front of 'Arkayatzor' Restaurant Causes 4 km Traffic Jam

Today, on July 4th, a chain reaction car accident occurred in Yerevan. According to Shamshyan.com, around 19:00, cars collided on Myasnikyan Avenue in front of the 'Arkayatzor' restaurant complex. The vehicles involved included a Honda with license plate 70 SP 700, a Mercedes E320 with license plate 909 TT 01, a Volkswagen with license plate 88 TV 388, and an Opel with license plate 587 OZ 61.

Preliminary information indicates that there were no injuries resulting from the accident. However, witnesses at the scene reported that doctors, who arrived in an ambulance, provided medical assistance to two individuals on the spot.

The first responders to assist the drivers were the firefighters from a nearby fire station, who disconnected the vehicles’ batteries, shut off the gas cylinders, and secured the area.

The photojournalist reports that the accident has caused a traffic jam of approximately 4 km in length. Information about the accident was relayed from the Emergency Situations Ministry's rescue service to the Yerevan Traffic Police's operational management center for officers to attend the scene. The police are working to identify the drivers involved.
