Body of Young Woman Found in Former Police Official's Home
A tragic incident occurred in Yerevan today, July 4. The emergency situations ministry's rescue service received a call that there was an unresponsive individual in the area adjacent to building 20 on Nansen Street in the Nor Nork administrative district.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, a firefighting rescue team responded to the specified address and discovered the body of a young woman in the bathroom of the mentioned residence.
The operational group from the Nor Nork police department also arrived at the scene. Employees from Gazprom Armenia's Yerevan gas division were called in because it was reported that the deceased, identified as 25-year-old Mariam O., had died in the bathroom due to gas poisoning.
According to Shamshyan's information, the house in question is not connected to the gas network and lacks a gas meter, raising suspicions that unauthorized gas supply has been installed in the house. Gazprom Armenia employees are currently investigating this information on-site.
The house reportedly belongs to a former high-ranking police official, Police Lieutenant Colonel Musheg Ohanyan, who previously served as the head of the Nor Nork police department and also led the Artashat police department. His brother is the former head of the traffic police, well-known Colonel Margarita Ohanyan.
