Firefighters Extinguish Blazes Covering Approximately 22.27 Hectares of Grasslands

On July 2, the National Center for Crisis Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received reports of fires in various grassland areas across the republic. Specifically, in Yerevan, fires occurred in:

• 600 square meters
• 200 square meters
• 1500 square meters
• 1500 square meters
• 200 square meters
• 5 hectares
• 500 square meters
• 2 hectares
• 2500 square meters
• 3000 square meters
• 6 hectares
• 1000 square meters
• 500 square meters
• 3000 square meters

In the Ararat region, Artashat city experienced approximately 300 square meters of fire, while the village of Noyakert faced a blaze affecting a wheat field of 5500 square meters. In Mkchyan village, around 300 square meters were impacted. In the Armavir region, a fire in the city of Ejmiatsin covered 1500 square meters.

In the Kotayk region, fires in Yegvard city affected about 1.5 hectares, with the city of Byureghavan being impacted by approximately 2000 square meters. The town of Nor Hachn was struck by a fire spanning about 7500 square meters, while the village of Mayakovski faced a 1-hectare blaze, and Arinj village suffered approximately 2000 square meters of fire damage. On the Nor Geghi-Yegvard highway, around 600 square meters of grassland were affected.

In the Syunik region, Sisian city experienced about 500 square meters of fire, while the Aragatsotn region's Partizak village faced nearly 1000 square meters of flames, and the village of Ohanavan experienced approximately 3 hectares of fire. The firefighters managed to isolate and extinguish the fires.
