Nissan Falls into Gorge Near Artashavan Village

The 911 emergency service was notified today, June 30, at 15:44, about a traffic accident near Artashavan village in the Aragatsotn region, with reports of injuries and the need for rescue assistance. This information was provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

A firefighting and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a Nissan vehicle (driven by R.G., born in 1957) had veered off the roadway and slid into a gorge (approximately 20 meters).

The driver and the passengers, T.G. (born in 1959) and M.G. (born in 2009), suffered various degrees of injuries. Rescuers assisted R.G. to the ambulance. The driver and passengers were hospitalized at Ashtarak Medical Center, where doctors assessed their health conditions as satisfactory.

Rescuers also disconnected the vehicle’s battery and closed the gas valve.
