No Applicants for Vacant Positions in Civil Service Sector

In the civil service sector, there are vacant positions for which announcements continue to be made, but there are no applicants. In this regard, Garush Davtyan, the head of the civil service office in the Prime Minister's staff, states that they are trying to understand whether the issue is with the positions themselves, or if citizens do not meet the requirements for holding those positions, or if there are other objective or subjective factors at play.

According to him, previously the statistics for competitions showed that there was an average of 1 or 1.5 citizens applying for one position. Due to various circumstances, the attractiveness of the system has decreased. Now, efforts should be made to systematically analyze the issue and understand why people are not applying.

However, the work does not stop there. In the context of reforms in the civil service sector, alongside addressing several issues, discussions are also taking place regarding salaries. According to Davtyan, there are active discussions about how much salaries can be raised and how that would align with the private sector.
