Zaven Karapetyan Returned from Azerbaijan Has Undergone Full Medical Examination

Zaven Karapetyan, who was returned from Azerbaijan, has undergone a full medical examination, and his physical condition has been assessed as satisfactory. This was reported to the media by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Anna Naghdalyan.

As previously reported, Karapetyan was returned to Armenia with the assistance of the Red Cross on June 28.

It is noteworthy that Armenia and Azerbaijan exchanged Zaven Karapetyan, a citizen of Armenia who was in Azerbaijan under unclear circumstances since June 20, 2017, and Elvin Arif Oglu Ibrahimov, who illegally crossed the state border of Armenia on March 16, 2019.

Zaven Karapetyan, a citizen of Armenia with intellectual disabilities, grew up in an orphanage and ended up in Azerbaijan by crossing the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in the Tavush direction.
