Criminal Authority Bogo from Noragugh Detained
According to reports from Haykakan Jamanak, a criminal authority known as Bogo, or Ruben Kostanyan from Noragugh, was detained about an hour ago at the Central (Kilikia) bus station. Our conversation with the Armenian police confirmed the information, although they did not disclose the reasons for his detention.
It is worth noting that Bogo's name has been associated with several high-profile incidents. Specifically, Shushan Kachaturyan, the director of Galactic Transport Service LLC, stated that Bogo has been influencing the passenger flow of the regular transport service between Yerevan and Armavir for a long time, operating passenger transport on the same route with his own vehicles.
Additionally, last July, a citizen who had suffered from Kostanyan's actions told Haykakan Jamanak how Bogo, along with his son and brother-in-law, allegedly kidnapped him and subjected him to brutal beatings with a shish kebab skewer, demanding $10,000 instead of 100,000 dram. Following this, charges were brought against Bogo, his son, and brother-in-law.
The company Erku Henq is also linked to Kostanyan, which was supposed to provide regular transport services from the Central and Northern bus stations to Georgia, but it only operates from one location, preventing other organizations from conducting transport from the other location.
For many years, he established himself at the Central bus station by building his own office and hotel inside the state structure, but months ago, he was removed from the building with police intervention and has now taken refuge at a café he owns not far from the bus station.
